Visual aesthetics and production culture
The promotional film for the Association of the German Porcelain Industry is a successful symbiosis of manufacture and mass production. The challenge lay in the concept and script phase as all members of the association were supposed to identify with the film for their joint appearance in it. This filmic work laid the groundwork for a new approach and visual aesthetics that Philine von Sell later refined with the photo art project “Made in Germany”. Today, she combines both media in one production – film and photography.
